Orecchiette pasta with peas, shrimp (prawns) in a creamy pea sauce. Orecchiette pasta resembles little ears, in fact it comes from the word “orecchie” which means ears due to their ear like shapes. They are usually know in the South of Italy around Apulia and they are a pleasure to eat. I made these with shrimp and the idea is to cut the shrimps in similar sizes so they blend well. I used frozen peas for this but you can also use broad-beans as popular in Italy.
Enjoy my Orecchiette with shrimp and peas in a creamy sauce. Happy cooking!
